What should we SEE in Manado? 

1. BUNAKEN ISLAND

it's about 45 minutes from Manado by long boat to reach this island. You can take the boat behind Marina Plaza, or from a small Harbour near "Pasar 45". You must rent it, the rate is about 1 - 1,5 million rupiahs for longboat, and around 750.000 for a small one for one day, from 7 o'clock until 4 o'clock in the afternoon. if you want to stay for a couple of days in the island, just find a resort that have a pick up service, ussualy if you stay three days or more in the resort you'll get a free transportation to the resort. Here's a couple of recommend resort, you nearly cannot find a 5 stars resort, so just be tolerance.

If you want to visit this island please make sure that you will put Diving and or Snorkling as one or two of your activities, if not that its useless, because the beach is not that good, there're some more beautiful beaches in Manado than at Bunaken.

2. LIHAGA ISLAND
To get here, you have to take a land transportation for about 2 hours and 15 menit with small boat. There're no people live here, no resort, no food (if you lucky enough, you will meet some local people who go here for holiday and they will get you some fresh fishes, they took it by themselves directly from the sea, and will bake it for you, so can eat freshly from di "oven").
But if you love beache, you will directly falling in love with this place.

3. LINOW LAKE.

This lake is in Tomohon, a small city, approximately 25-35 Km from Manado, to go here, you can either take a local Bus, or rent a car. it will takes about 1 - 1,5 hours from Manado.
When the sun shines on this lake, it will seperate into three colors, so beautiful, and also the person who manage the place is very good, and quite clean.

4. PULISAN HILL

What make it so special? because it's a combination of beautifull green hill and beaches.

To get here you don't need to go across the island, but just make it on land for 2 - 2,5 hours from the center of the city. You need to rent a car, and a driver who know this area, because not many people here know this place.
